About Sensory Shock
Sensory Shock is a free collection of 115+ accessibility apps that run entirely in your web browser. It includes AAC communication boards, visual timers and schedules, breathing and calm-down tools, sensory rooms, emotional-regulation aids, early-learning games, and printables — built for autistic kids and adults, AAC users, and people with sensory-processing differences, and for the parents, teachers, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists who support them.
Why everything is free
Assistive and special-education software is often locked behind expensive licenses, subscriptions, and per-seat pricing — which puts basic tools out of reach for the families and classrooms that need them most. Sensory Shock takes the opposite approach: every app is free forever. No paywalls, no subscriptions, no accounts, no sign-ups, and no feature gates. Open an app and use it.
How the apps work
- Nothing to install. Apps run in any modern browser — iPads, Android tablets, phones, Chromebooks, laptops, and classroom interactive whiteboards.
- Private by design. Favorites and settings are saved on your own device. The apps don't require accounts and don't upload what you do.
- Touch-first. Everything is built for tapping, dragging, and big targets first, with mouse and keyboard support too.
A note on therapy and education
These tools are designed to support communication, regulation, learning, and play. They aren't medical treatment, and they work best alongside the guidance of the professionals who know your child or student — SLPs, OTs, teachers, and clinicians.
